Which machine?

From you signature, I assume that you were talking about your nMP. I think use all 4 slots, fully utilise all bandwidth, should has better performance.

For a nMP, yes utilize all four slots and you will utilize all four RAM channels with equally sized and speced RAM. However, if you looking toward the future and future RAM expansion, you may want to think otherwise.
