Hi,
I have a question and hope that some good man can help me.

I've got a Mac Pro 3.1 (2008) recently renovated with new ssd, new video card and new system High Sierra updated thanks to dosdude1.

I also bought another ram to get 16gb.

I already had 2x2Gb installed. I bought 6x2gb used Kingston brand. verified by seller for Mac Pro 3.1 PC2-6400 (DDR2-800)

Now
I tested the ram with TechTool Pro 9 and everything seems ok.

in the report I read that the six Kingstons have a timings of 5-5-5-18 while my two banks have them of 6-6-6-18.

is it a problem for the best performance?
What do you think about it?

I attach the TechTool Pro report.

:)

i dont think it will matter & think all the ram will just run at the slower speed if you use it all.

The timings on your older ram is actually slower as 5-5-5 is faster than 6-6-6. If anything, things should run a bit quicker if you remove your old ram, but it should be so minuscule that you couldn't even notice it. More ram usually results in faster speeds, and since you have the 3,1, I'd even look at the 4gb and 8gb modules that can push your memory to 32gb and 64gb respectively. I actually have lots of 4gb modules that I need to get rid of...
