The last few weeks i've been getting random freezes on my iMac. Usually when dealing with iMovie/Safari. I just installed new RAM a few weeks ago, so i'm hoping the RAM is either bad, or need reseeded and it's not the logic board/video card.
The screen will just flash for a second and then everything (except the cursor) is completely frozen. I can still move the cursor around with no issues, but everything else is stuck. Just curious what you guys think. RAM or something else? The thing that's strange to me is that the cursor still moves with no issues while everything else is frozen. A few of the times that this has happened random colors are frozen on the screen that make it appear to be a video card issue, but i've also heard that can be RAM as well. Anyway.. thoughts?
