I recently made a thread but seeing as how it fell into obscurity and I have found some new things out about the situation. Anyway, my phone would randomly lose 3g and I wouldn't be able to load anything untill I reset my network setting. I took it to apple and they gave me a new phone and and even went to AT&T and got a new sim, still no dice. I also haven't been able to send mms.

Now I have just found out that I can send mms and I don't lose Internet if I'm on edge only with 3g off. What could be causing this type of problem?

Since when did apple or AT&T claim that their network works 100% of the time

Data networks go down, it's just how they work

how long are you waiting before you reset your internet settings ?

Sometimes it will do it as often as 15-30 min, and if I don't reset the phone or networks settings then I wont get any of my tests or calls until I do. My friends Iphone works fine. He has been gloating about his mms for the past 3 days. I don't see how it can be the network if its not affecting another Iphone that's 3 streets over...

My wife's 3G does the same thing.

The whole phone had been unstable since 3.1. One crash required a restore and setup as new-phone to recover from.

When she accepted the carrier settings update the internet started dropping out. I could stand right next to her with my 3GS and mine would be just fine. Hers works fine on WiFi, just loses its cellular data connection and the only way to get it back is to restart the phone.
