random shutdown syndrome

Is the rss present in the new c2d macbook pros? I am asking because while I was using my mbp, I tried putting it to sleep [by closing the lid] but it did the startup chime and rebooted. When I repoened the lid, it gave me the login screen and a fresh finder.

Is this the rss, or is this something new?

The RSS is *long* gone.

I'd call Apple to take a look at the problem.
