Hi all,
Wandering if anyone out there has experienced or is experiencing something similar to the following: On a late 2013 Macbook Pro 15" running Sierra 10.12.1. On average, after about 15-20mins of use, the trackpad either stops responding (i.e. cursor does not move) or if the cursor does move it moves in the opposite direction as what was intended and is sluggish. The weird thing is the problem only seems to happen when I DO NOT have the power adapter plugged in. If I leave it for a couple of minutes sometimes the trackpad works as normal.
Things I've tried:
1. Cleaned the trackpad
2. Ran hardware diagnostics test - no errors reported
3. Checked battery health in System Information - reported condition as Normal
4. Reset the SMC and PRAM
5. Examined any evidence of the battery becoming "swollen" - can't see anything i.e. trackpad seems to be sitting flush.
Any help/recommendations will be greatly appreciated.
