Am I the only one facing rapid battery drain on Monterey (2017 i5 MBP)?
It takes less than two hours of listening to the music (via Music app) to go down to 20% from fully charged one. I've to charge it few times a day in order to use it normally.
Anyone struggles with similar behavior?

I have a 2018 i7 MBP and initially after updating to Montery, my battery drain was bad, too. I re-installed Monterey (via starting up in recovery mode) and since then, it seems to be back to normal.

That's how I've installed it initially, yet drainage was exceptional... Downgraded to Big Sur eventually, doesn't look like Monterey is suited to work flawlessly with older MBP's or it's "buy new one to have it running" approach.

I'm not having battery drain issues with my 2019 16" MBPro, but I know others that are. It's frustrating how you can have two of the exact same Macs, with fresh OS installs and no 3rd-party apps installed, and they still can have dramatically different battery life or OS issues.

I can't wait to leave Intel Macs behind... if nothing else, it sounds like battery drain issues won't be something I would have to deal with.

i've been fine with my (already-much-degraded) battery... until the beta update of 2feb22; had my macbook on my dresser, asleep (no power nap or 'wake for network access'), and my battery was at 1% this morning.

anyone else seeing this with the new beta?

EDIT: and today it's ok. so, somehow, right after the beta install, the battery drained fast. today (a day later), seems same as usual. huh!
