iPod Rash of "folder" icons after install of 4.9..

Hey there roomies I am a Macrumor newbie that has been experiencing strange "folder" icon and it seems to be the same for my colleagues after dowloading itunes 4.9. Anyone can help? I tried everything....Many thanks in advance.

Dual 867 PM, 22inch Cinema Display, 17 inch Cinema Display, 17" PB 1.5.

can you describe the strange folder icon? or better still link us with a pic? press apple key & shift then number 4 and take a snap shot.
