RC introduced Safari lag in facebook

With beta FB was running somewhat slower than other websites but it was still fine. But now with RC it started lagging which is weird considering that I did not encounter this on any other page no matter the complexity and amount of scripts in it. Any potential solutions/hacks? I don't quite want to migrate to another browser just because of it.

FB is a complete mess on my iPadOS with safari on 14.x on my ipad 12.9 first iteration. It is OK on my Mohave 2018 mac mini.

RR and enabling "render canvas in GPU process" from safari debug menu seem to have helped. At least for now.

Okay got fed up with it. I mean honestly... It's ridiculous that everything else is flying but FB is lagging. I think I will start using https://mbasic.facebook.com lol.
