Once Verizon got service running, my Rcs is showing waiting for activation? Anyone else having this issue?

RCS has not been working for me with Verizon since the outage ended a few hours ago. All of my previous RCS chats are now being sent as SMS. When I tap on "Carrier" in Settings > General > About, it now just say "Voice & SMS" next to IMS Status. RCS used to also be listed there.

I lost access to RCS now too. The setting shows, doesn't matter if I restart my phone, turn off the setting and back on it just doesn't display.

Like the comment above, I don't even see RCS now listed above in my cellular section of about in settings.

Hell I don't even see the RCS Business Messages that OP posted in the first message. Never have.

Even resetting network settings hasn't helped.

All 3 iPhones on my Verizon account (one kid has an android) has this issue. Safe to say another issue with Verizon.

I think RCS just came back on for me within the last few minutes. I just received a bunch of delayed RCS messages that were obviously sent yesterday. And now RCS is listed again next to IMS Status under Settings > General > About. Fingers crossed this is fixed now!

Hopefully it does for me soon.

After reading this, I checked mine and the RCS flag in messages still wasn't showing nor was RCS listed in settings.

Rebooted and checked and still no dice.

Strange. It must be a gradual or regional rollout of the fix. Interestingly, I don’t have the RCS Business Messages toggle that is shown in the above screenshots. And now I can’t remember if I had that toggle before the outage yesterday. Does anyone else not have the Business Messages toggle?

I've never had it. No iPhone on my account has ever had that. Just the normal RCS toggle.

Now all the iphones on my account are back on RCS.

EXCEPT mine. I can turn it off and back on but it doesn't do anything. On the others it at least gives some indication that its "activating" but on my phone its just turning the switch back and forth and no such message about activating.

Verizon here too. Don’t have rcs biz toggle either.
I do have a biz toggle in the regular imessage settings though.

Verizon really takes the cake. I reached out to their support becuase two of my families phones on ios 18 can send RCS my phone cannot.

"Not all devices are supported by RCS messaging, this can be a issue with compatibility."

So my iPhone 15 Pro Max isn't compatible according to this agent but the two iPhone 14 Pro Maxes that are a year older than my phone are compatible. 🤦‍♂️

Queue the meme: "The Stupid it burns"

Like I know support agents can and will say anything to sound like they know what they are talking about but that's the most insane and dense response I've ever received.

My 16 Pro Max used to work on RCS til about 1 1/2 mo ago, now it’s always waiting for activation. I have multiple eSIMS so it isn’t a Verizon thing. On the other hand, my two 16 Pro’s work perfectly. Very frustrating!

I’m on 18.2 beta 3.
