Hi all

I use an RDP connection to access my office computer, which times out frequently if idle. Is there any option of setting it to be open all day

Many Thanks

You can find a list of RDP properties here

Some clients may let you change certain RDP properties within the app itself, but typically, you will want to download the RDP file and open it in your favourite text editor to add or change properties.

Idle timeout is probably on the other side of your connection, so wont be effected by anything you do at home. I'm not sure about auto-reconnection on your side though, it might do what you want in a pinch.

fwiw, I use Jump Desktop for my RDP (and VNC) connections, it works better from a mac that Microsoft's own client.
