I just got a 3GS on launch day. I had been given a brand new 3G as a gift two weeks prior and loaded it with Apps. Long story short, phone was defective, took it back and wanted to exchange it and the rep was like "well, if you can wait a week and a half you can exchange it for a 16GB 3GS since it'll be the same price and within the 30 days of purchase. Naturally I did, who wouldn't take double the memory and all the extra speed and features FOR FREE lol? I take it back on launch day and I actually decided I wanted 32GB (I put so much stuff on the phone already and I hadn't even Jailbroken it yet, figured the more memory the better) so it cost me $106 and change total (with tax) for a 32GB 3GS. Pretty sweet.
Anyway, guess that wasn't so short after all haha. My question is, when I was re-DLing the apps I remembered from my 3G it would tell me I already "purchased" them (they were all free ones, hence "purchased" being in quotations) and to hit OK to re-DL them. Then I came across one that WAS free when I initially got it but now it's a paid app. Of I try to DL it again, will it be free still since I "already purchased it", or will I have to pay?
