Re install ?

Is there a way to re install 10.11 without loosing or messing up anything already on my drive ?

I start the install process and it just gives me the option to install, nothing else.

Mac OS X reinstall does not change your file stored on your machine. Just go ahead and reinstall.

If you just install without erasing the HDD it will just reinstall a clean OS on top of your current OS Install. But to be safe I would backup any important documents first.
