I have a 3G 3.01 from the US that is unlocked and being used on O2. My push notifications are working. I re-jailbreak to 3.01, will I still get push notifications? (My phone has been running really slowly lately and I want to restore it either to 3.1 or 3.01)

Yes. Restore to stock 3.0.1, and then legitimately activate the phone, and run redsn0w and you will be good to go.

How do I legitimately activate the phone? I have the old ATT sim card but it doesn't have service anymore. Also I'm in the UK so imnot sure if putting the ATT sim card in while I restore will even do anything.
