Im on 6.1.2 jailbroken, not sure if my phone is faulty or something i installed so i want to install 6.1.2 and jailbreak it again, obviously if i try to do it now it will install 6.1.3 so what tool do i need? ultra snow? i saved my shsh using tiny umbrella.

If you have an iPhone 5 or 4S you can't. If iPhone 4 you could update to 6.1.3 then downgrade to 6.1.2 using your saved SHSH blobs.

Even with saved SHSH? :( i have an iPhone 5, currently jailbroken on 6.1.2 and saved my blobs a while ago.

Even with saved SHSH. Anything that uses A5x or higher no longer is able to do that.

You appear to be screwed, my friend.

Yep, new ones and refurbs are probably still on 6.1.2. Do you have AppleCare+? You can always smash it with a hammer or a club of some kind and exchange it for $50.

I just have the standard warranty with it but if the phone dont work they usually give you a new one? i have no signal at all and my network appears to be ok

If there is a legitimate issue with it, then yes, they will most likely give you a new one or a refurbished one. But be sure to restore it to 6.1.3 first. If they detect that it’s jailbroken, they will void your warranty.

Ok thanx, thought jailbreak was legal now?

AppleCare+ should cover jailbroken. I thought it covered ANYTHUNG other than lost or stolen?

Nah. I could just destroy it and get a new one. No logic in forcing people to destroy a phone that apple could salvage and recoup cost. Where did you read that AppleCare PLUS doesn't cover jail breaking?

you gotta be kidding….

you should read the eula, you don't own the firmware you lease it, jb breaking is legal but it definately voids the warranty.

why do you think everbody that has a problem ask how to restore to stock before they return it??

How on earth would they know if I ran it over with my car after failing to DFU restore the jail break away?Or, I could do any number of things to destroy the motherboard inside...death by electrocution, drowning, stopping a bullet...

Only a sucker would go to pay his $50 and tell apple they effed up the phone via jailbreak...

I'm not talking about apple warranty, I'm talking about the insurance. I've never heard of a single instance where apple refused to let someone pay their $50 because they jailbroke their phone. Find one example of someone being rejected due to their jailbreak.

Cracked the screen on my IP4 and they refused it jailbroken, they will not replace it when JBen, they will sent you home and ask to bring it to stock.

"3.2 Accidental Damage from Handling
If during the Plan Term you submit a valid claim notifying Apple that the Covered iPhone has failed due to accidental damage from handling (“ADH”), Apple will subject to the service fee described below either (i) repair the defect using new or refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (ii) exchange the Covered iPhone with a replacement product that is new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability, and is at least functionally equivalent to the original product (both individually known as a “Service Event”). ADH coverage will expire and all of Apple’s obligations to you under this section 3.2 will be fulfilled in its entirety before the end of the Plan Term when Apple, as a result of ADH claims, has provided to you two (2) Service Events. ADH coverage only applies to an operational or mechanical failure caused by an accident from handling that is the result of an unexpected and unintentional external event (e.g., drops and liquid contact) that arises from your normal daily usage of the Covered iPhone as intended for such Covered iPhone. ADH coverage does not include (a) protection against normal wear and tear, theft, misplacement, reckless, abusive, willful or intentional conduct associated with handling and use of the Covered iPhone, (b) protection against any other act or result not covered by the Plan, as described in Section 4.2 below, or (c) any resultant damage to the Covered iPhone that arises from one or more conditions described in Section 3.2(a) or (b). You will pay a $49 (U.S.) dollar service fee plus applicable tax for each ADH claim, and may be asked to provide an explanation of where and when the accident occurred with a detailed description of the actual event. A claim will be denied if you fail to pay the service fee or fail to provide information relating to the accident when asked."

Nope. They wouldn't likely insist you restore it if it was a broken screen etc but for any defect claim if you bring it jailbroken they will deny service.

Nah. I could just destroy it and get a new one.

Maybe. If they can tell it was intentionally broken they can deny service

. Where did you read that AppleCare PLUS doesn't cover jail breaking?

Apple's hardware warranty for iPhones

This Warranty does not apply: (a) to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; (c) to damage caused by use with another product; (d) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause; (e) to damage caused by operating the Apple Product outside Apple’s published guidelines; (f) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”); (g) to an Apple Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple; (h) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Apple Product, or (i) if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Apple Product.

----------

Many of those things would be very intentional and obvious and you'll be SOL.

Apple's become rather stingy with the full unit swaps now that they have built more modular parts for the common defaults. Getting them to let you buy a swap because you screwed it up trying to do something that is against terms of your warranty isn't likely to happen even if you are willing to pay. If you wanted in and you had dropped it or spilled beer in it and it was malfunctioning, no the fact that you jailbroke it wouldn't likely be an issue since they are going to have you wipe it anyway and goodbye that issue

Okay, so I accidentally had my phone jail broken....It's easy as hell to grab a phone and jailbreak it. I could swipe my brothers and jailbreak it while he is in the bathroom. I could grab my classmates iPhone and jailbreak it on my laptop while he isn't looking.

A water soaked phone is pretty common. An electrocuted iPhone is not obvious in the slightest. I could place it on my tesla coil and it would die quickly without any trace.

Pointing out some historical background and i think with charlituna's post and my post it is pretty clear that Apple's policy is not to accept Jailbroken phones.

Your sugestions are called fraud….

And a DFU restore after jail breaking isn't fraud?

Okay, I'll never truly know if the iPhone can withstand my tesla coil, therefore cannot commit fraud since fraud would require me to know the outcome before the fact.

No because jailbreaking itself isn't illegal, your are breaking the EULA and therefore Apple can refuse service.

DFU-restoring is bringing it back to stock which Apple can't refuse.
