Re sizing phots in iPhoto?

Can it be done?

I need to resize some large phots down to about 600 wide and i cant figure out how to do it.

You can't resize photos within iPhoto, you have to export them, then re-import them. Under Share there is the export option, choose whatever size you want the photos, then I would say export them to your desktop. When it is done drag them back to your iPhoto library and do whatever you want with the originals.

The one good thing about that drawn-out export and reimport process is that you can select a lot of photos and convert them all at the same time. Took me a while to figure that one out.
