Hello all,

I was wondering what kind of wireless card can work with an Apple Pismo laptop (400 MHz; 512 MB RAM; 20 GB HD)? Do I have to have an Apple AirPort card? I would need the card to work with a D-Link DGL-4300 wireless gaming router.

Thank you! I appreciate the help!

Always,

Sam

Hey Santeh

Sorry I didn't get back with you sooner. Looks like you found yourself a pismo after all. You can use the apple wireless card or you can use the DWL-G650X made by D-link. I've used it in my pismo and it works fine.

Edit: I actually just looked at D-link and they stopped selling the card but they say they will support it until 2009. Currently it works for both tiger and panther. So if you can find one of these cards or an old apple card then that would be the way to go.

Also try out: orangeware they seem to have drivers for all sorts of regular pc wireless cards. Click on the link: Wireless Driver for Mac v.3.0.
