iPhone Reachability delayed, less useful

Is anyone else having problems with Reachability being delayed? On iOS 8, it was great. Quick and useful. But now I have to wait longer for the screen to pull down and then it goes back up after tapping one thing rather than staying there a bit longer in case I need to tap something else.

Is anyone else having this problem? It's probably one of my biggest gripes with iOS 9. Quick, fully-functional reachability is a must on the 6+.

Still works about the same as it did in iOS 8 for me (on an iPhone 6). It sometimes goes away quickly after selecting something, other times not as quickly, but that was my experience with it in iOS 8 as well.

That's been my experience as well, although I am happy to see one big improvement: in iOS 8 it would randomly stop working and the only way to fix it was to turn the screen off and back on. Since updating to iOS 9 (first the GM and then the general release), this hasn't happened once.

Reachability reacts a lot slower and is less useful with iOS 9. But what really upsets me is the fact that it is a lot faster on the iPhone 6s, as fast as the iPhone 6 was with iOS 8.
Apple slows down the iPhone 6 so we see the iPhone 6s as faster. I call this fraud.

It is the same every single year, the previous generation gets slower so the new one seems even faster. Thats ridiculous. After a few months a update comes along and the previous generation is a little bit faster again (but not as fast as before). I am a Apple customer since 2007 and to be honest, this pisses me off.

I wonder what's behind some people experiencing noticeable lag and others not having the same type of issues. I guess could be another update weirdness thing like some people experiencing battery issues while many others not with pretty much any update.

Same as it was with iOS 8--basically once I'm done with my second tap the screen shifts down.

I have a iPhone 6 running iOS 9.0.1 in one hand and another running iOS 8.4.1 in other hand. Touch ID is faster on 8.4.1. There is really no reason it should be slower in 9.0.1

Interesting. I rarely use it, but also very rarely activate it by accident.

Works fine on my iPhone 6. I'm not experiencing any major delay from double tap to it pulling down the screen.

I made a quick video using QuickTime from my MacBook Pro. (Sure it doesn't show my actually tapping home, but you can still see from it that there isn't any massive delay.)

Possibly. But the main thing is that there's an option to enable/disable the feature so that everyone can decide what works for them.

If you’re jailbroken, install "ReachOffset". It has a completely different functionality but as a side effect, it removes the delay of Reachability. You don’t even need to activate the tweak, just have it installed. Solved it for me (iPhone 6 Plus). Now it’s instant as it should be.

It can be useful for some in some situations even with a 6 (like using it with one hand). That aside, there is an option to enable or disable it.
