Reachability in iOS 17.1 is even worse than before

Apple used development recources to improve the look of Rechability, but the gesture to activate it is as terrible as ever. No, they somehow managed to make it even WORSE in iOS17.1, it now works almost never, maybe 25% of the time for me.

They should just change the gesture to double-tap on the home bar.

Look at your frequently used app icons at the bottom. There’s a list of four across. I swipe down using my thumb, right in the middle between the second app and the third app, and it works 10 out of 10

Ah I think they changed the gesture so that you have to start swiping down from further up on the screen than before. It works a little better, but I still sometimes just press a button that is situated there. A double-tap on the home bar would be soooo much better.

Did they change this? I don’t use reachability, but I just tried it 20 times on my iPhone Xʀ on iOS 12 and it didn’t even fail once.
