Reading CD's

I've been having some problems when I download certain pc files on the mac side (.iso), burn them on toast as .iso and try to run them in windows. Sometimes the cd's can't be read once I install the program. Is it better to simply transfer the .iso to the windows partition and use "Alcohol" to burn or run as virtual disk?

Are you sure the ISO files are good? It seems much more compelling that you have a bad ISO file in this case than that Toast is burning it in a way that a PC cannot read it. ISO should be ISO should be ISO.

Can this still be the case even when I am able to insert the cd, install the software and launch the software?

I'm not sure I understand. You put the CD in, install the software off of it (in windows), and then after that, you can't read the same CD anymore? Like if you try to run the same installer a second time, it fails?

Could be a media problem or the optical drive on the PC (maybe update its firmware if possible), but burning in Toast won't make an incompatible disc.

But try Daemon Tools or another ISO tool to try to mount the image in Windows (just so you know it's not corrupted).
