So I just purchased a new iPad Pro 11” within the last week upgrading from the iPad Pro 10.5”. I’ve had the Smart Keyboard on the 10.5” and absolutely loved it and couldn’t live without it so I bought it for my new one as well.

This one is a little bit different, being a folio that covers that back and also not having the flap that folds into the keyboard. Am I the only one that seems to feel a little awkward holding the iPad Pro when reading and having my hand(s) pressed up against the keyboard keys? I almost feel like this would cause the keys to wear and not work over time and I’m trying to be really careful with this.

The one for my 10.5 did not feel like this at all as you had the microfiber fold that the keyboard would fold up into.

Does anyone else feel this way about the new Smart Keyboard Folio, and what experience have you had with wear over time?

Thank you!

Appleinsider has one video dedicated to rant the same thing as your post here. And I agree that touching the key while folding the case back does feel a bit weird. But for me, that ‘“folding” thing is what I do not like very much, simply because it leaves strip marks on my screen if the case is closed and iPad receives some pressure when carrying around.

Back to the keyboard folio. I think I would not matter that much since keyboard folio is very easy to remove and attach. When I want to read with iPad, I just remove folio. When I finish reading, I attach folio and close it.
Here is the said video.

It’s ok and the Main thing about it for me is the light weight but I use the Logitech keyboard now. While a lot heavier it is a far better keyboard experience.
