Reading progress not showing/reset in Books after upgrade to iPadOS 15.5

Hi everybody,

after iOS15.5 both of my iPad Pros (2020 model) have their reading progress reset and all books that were not completely read appear as new. Weirdly, that doesn't seem to happen on my iPad Mini (5). Does anyone else have this problem and if so, were you able to do something about it? Restarting the devices didn't help for me (and doing a full reset seems excessive).

That's odd. What about another device like an iPhone?

Just checked. The iPhone has that problem, but only for a few books. Also, a few books (but really just a few) that I recently opened don't show. Really no idea what's going on there.

Edit:
If I force re-sync from iCloud by turning sync off and on in the settings, the iPhone has the problem for all books, too.
