Reading Russian

I'm reading a Russian book in Books. I would like for when I ask for a word to be translated for it to be looked up in the russian>english dictionary, not to be told that Bulgarian/ or other is not available, and then I have to choose russian for every time.

Is there a way to set a default in Books for which dictionary to be used?

I already have Russian set as a preferred language, secondary to English, this has made no difference.

Tried it and didn't have a problem:

Did see the same issue as in your screen shot when translate couldn't figure out which language was intended when there were multiple language possibilities. Simple fix was to just use to pulldown for that specific word. When conflicts occur don't know how to set translate to use only one language. Luckily only happens for a small subset of words I tested.
