This is probably going to be very easy for someone at Macrumers to answer. I need bullets for my battle with the support non-help I am receiving. I do not want to waste anyone's time, but here I feel confident that someone will know the answer.
I am not a programmer so a user only. I am receiving a crash report when I try to start up Anycubics Photon Workshop Version 3.6.2. I have been going back and forth with Anycubics support where they say that my Mac Pro running 10.13.6 High Sierra is at fault. I have downloaded three of their versions of software, and all crash upon startup of the software. All of the versions that begin with 3.x.x are involved. I had been copying the crash reports and pasting them in a document and sending them to the support person.
Today I read through them myself. Each report fails like this but there is somvariation based on the version:
Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (SIGKILL)
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000
Exception Note: EXC_CORPSE_NOTIFY
Termination Reason: DYLD, [0x4] Symbol missing
Application Specific Information:

Dyld Error Message:
Symbol not found: _objc_alloc_init
Referenced from: /private/var/folders/*/AnycubicPhotonWorkshop.app/Contents/MacOS/../Frameworks/libosgDB.161.dylib (which was built for Mac OS X 10.15)
Expected in: /usr/lib/libobjc.A.dylib
(By the way I tried the 3.6.2 on my Trash Can Mac running Catalina and it ran as it should, but the Can is too slow, and my 2009 Mac Pro is stuck at High sierra)
I noticed that the Crash Report says the software is for Mac OS 10.13.6 on all of the reports. At the "Application Specific Information" line it has text in parentheses that I think says that the "dylib" that the mac is complaining about was "built for Mac OS 10.15.
So am I correct in thinking that if the library was built for 10.15, that it will not work with 10.13? Is this the problem? Was their software assembled/built/compiled?? using the wrong library? Should the dylib be built for 10.13?
Thanks for you help. Bob
