3 brand new iMacs both have the same bottom 1/2 yellow tint issue, I just can not believe how bad the QC is these days for iMac.

I read that the iPhone 4 had part of the same issue, but you could burn it out just by using it a lot?

Its apples fault for keeping LG......I think sony/samsung or Sharp would be just as good.

Because most TV's are available in LED

I really love the imac, but the yellow tint is really bring it down.

I am going to wait and see, maybe buy the next gen or something.

iMac quality = gamble

Hi 2pxbTony
I'm waiting for my 3rd iMac 21,5" i5 exchange. The 2 computers had serious yellow screen issue. The first had also another major problem with video card and was playing Xmas tree. The second had an hard disk issue. I just can't explain why Apple does release such "poor quality" products.
I'm fully disappointed and if the 3rd one is not perfect, I will ask for a refund.

The risk is really high these days for buying an iMac.

I did a screen test on my friend's 24 ACD, the bottom half have some yellow tint as well, not as obvious as mine (21.5 iMac), and before the test he never noticed - I guess that might be the case for some portion of the iMac owners (not everyone bought an iMac and read Mac forums like us)

If the next one is still no good, just get refund. Wait until the fix the problem.

BTW, did apple public acknowledge the problem yet?

Didn't you post your iMac screen picture in the Yellow Tint thread? Weren't you advised that there was no yellow tint issue with your screen?

Just asking...

From my post at the other thread:

"In real life observation, there is a tiny bit yellow tint at the bottom 1/3 to 1/4;"

However, I just can not take a good shot that is strong enough to illustrate the problem - maybe my camera suck @_@
