Guys just have my iPad Pro 2021 12.9.

When checking in the day, nothing wrong. But when I checked it at night under my lamp light (yellow light BTW), I noticed this…… It seems like something wrong with this band on the side of iPad, As you can see, there is something white stuck in the middle. I was guessing that the connected part has a little paint peeling in the middle.

Very strangely, when I used my iPhone’s flashlight to shine through, this bright spot was not visible. Nor in the sun. Seems like this imperfection is almost impossible to notice unless you put the iPad under a potent light and angle it in a very specific way.

Try to use alcohol patch to erase, no effect.

I had a little OCD you know guys and once you noticed it you’ll never forget it……

Do you think I need to replace it or just let it go! I really want to hear your views. thank you all.

If everything else is fine, I'd let it go. I'm sure if I looked at my 11" M1 iPad I'd find some irregularity somewhere. If the screen is good and it's not having any issues, I'd leave well enough alone.

Oh one more thing, guys, I heard that if this place is attached to the Apple Pencil, it will gradually get scratches over time. Is that so? If you can take the trouble of taking a picture of this small black band area after using your iPad Pro for a period of time, I would be very grateful! :)

I'm very much obliged to you! This iPad is indeed okay in everything else. Super fast response speed, stunning screen!
In addition, I wonder if you use an Apple Pencil? I have posted a small request at #3 and I would be very grateful if you can do me a kind favor.

Here is a snap of mine. I use the pencil some, but not a heavy user.

Thank you so much. This is my first day to join this forum, and I am also posting a post for the first time. It's really an honor for me to meet someone as enthusiastic as you.
And, yes…I zoom in your picture and it seems that using the pen does cause some small scratches. But like you said, those scratches are so small that they can be ignored in daily use.
Again, thank you.

this looks like glue. But it should be a non-issue. If you use your ipad for a month, you'll get bigger scratches than this
