REALLY slow file transfer with 10.4.9

Hi,

I just upgraded my MacbookPro system to 10.4.9. For some reason file transfer became REALLY REALLY slow all the sudden. I am making back-up to the external drive through USB. Any idea?? Please help!!

Use Firewire, its faster. Real world performance proves it.

Windows is faster under USB though.

Try repairing disk permissions, it is a general fix-all in Disk Utility
