Hi everyone, new to OSX, just got my mac mini core solo yesterday (ill be getting a MBP when the issues are sorted) and im impressed so far. Its sooo quiet its untrue. And fast too! My 1GHz AMD Duron laptop is about 100 times louder.

Anyway, Im having trouble with realplayer. Ive downloaded it and dragged the program to my application folder, but i cant get safari or firefox to realise its there. I just get the lego-style blocks where the audio or video should be playing. The thing is - if i load realplayer separately i can use the browser in there and it all works. Any suggestions?

thanks.

Where did you download it from? Mine had an installer (or it did something on first run) that set up my browsers to know it was there. That was the recently released Real Player 10 Universal.

Did you quit and restart the browser since installing it? And see above, I'd double click whatever you copied to your apps folder...

thanks

i got it from here

via the BBC help pages.

hmmm, i never got any installation options. when i get home ill try the preferences menu to see if i can find any.
