Hi All,

I have a new M5 iPad Pro running iPadOS 26.1 and I have noticed that in FaceTime calls, if I switch to the rear camera, the focus distance is stuck (wherever it was last time) and there is no way to trigger autofocus. But if I simply switch to the Camera app, the autofocus works just fine for the rear camera. So I'm assuming this is a software issue, but wanted to see if there is anyone with an M5 iPad Pro who can try to replicate this?

Just for the record, I have tried everything from a fresh install to toggling the center stage/blurred background buttons to no avail.

Same issue here! Compared to M1 13 inch and the rear camera focus on FaceTime is non existent

Did you find a cure or resolve the lack of focus with the m5 rear camera ?

I filed it as a bug to Apple and now I'm seeing they marked it as "More than 10 reports". The units at Apple Store suffered from the same, so I guess we'll have to wait for iOS 26.2 possibly :)
