I just got my 15" PB back from repair since the logic board decided to take a dump and stop working for me...so I'm curious, since Apple didnt feed me any specifics...what is the typical cause for the logic board to go bad? Is there anything to prevent it from happening again?

Even though I'm definately happy to have my PB back, I'm just left this sense of paranoia that it's gonna happen again...

somewhere recently on Digg.com they had an article that traced the history of CPUs.

OMG.

We are indeed the inheritors of something outrageously grandiose inside our little Macs. And no wonder, with so many microscopic parts, that they sometimes fail.
