Weight. The number one reason I LOVE the MBA is the low weight and the advantage it is to the mobile user... whether mobile from desk to couch to bed or from office to meeting room to home, its mobility is perfection.

Thinness. The second great quality is how thin it is yet provides a full-sized keyboard and display. The shape makes it feel that it is super thin throughout, so the user is deceived by the "wedge" design to feel ultra thinness.

Performance. The optimization of the Penryn CPU, Nvidia GPU, and SSD are simply amazing together! For the average non-pro user, the MBA will fill faster than a Mac Pro or MacBook Pro!

Quality. The overall quality is shear perfection compared to any other brand. From the industrial design, aluminum case, and overall build quality, the MBA is second to none.

Usage. Looking at a top quality display, having a large trackpad for touch input, and an amazing keyboard second to only the Lenovo Thinkpad's keyboard gives the MBA the best all around user experience when considering the whole package.

For writing, business, academia, mobile professional, light user, and etc, the MBA is incredible. It has everything that I need as is... however, lacks the RAM I really want. But does everything I need to perfection.

I think it's going to be a long wait now, but when we get the update it should be worthy. I suppose there's still the possibility of a 320m, but it seems like a long shot now. However, wouldn't Apple give itself a full year to come up with the post Nvidia solution to the Intel PROBLEM? If it gave us a 320m with 4 GB RAM and a glass trackpad, it could just put off the "real" update to next year. We're already getting "real" updates to the 13" MBP, MB, and Mm sometime later as C2D is gone at the end of 2010 and so is the pairing of Nvidia's integrated GPU/chipset model. No matter what, it's ridiculous how long the MBA has been left out of the update cycle.

No matter what, Apple has disappointed many fans with this year's lackluster Mac updates all the way around. Outdated Core 2 Duo in its most popular two selling Macs (MB and 13" MBP). Another bogus graphics non-update in the 15" and 17" MBPs. Complete lack of any updates to Mac Pro and MacBook Air. The low-end iMacs still have the 9400m. And absolutely ZERO innovation in the limited updates we have seen. Add to it, a complete disregard for the AppleTV for over two years which is truly needed to link the iProducts to the home theater system. Then calculate the oldest Apple product, the 30" ACD that's so outdated it doesn't use the MDP graphics technology of any current Mac and needs a $99 connector.

I don't know about others, but I think Apple has a lot of innovation it better be working on this year if it wants to keep selling its ridiculously priced Macs that don't even compete with low-end PC hardware. Calculate in the fact that OS X 10.7 has been put on the backburner, and there's no innovation in the software that drives us all to buy Macs instead of PCs.

I really hope Apple changes its tune about the Macs starting right now. I love my MBA, but I am going to be really disappointed if next January we're still waiting for updates to the MBA, Mac Pros, and all of the other Macs running C2D. It's time for Apple to step up and prove that it still gives a damn about anything other than iProducts. I want to spend my money, as well as a lot of others here waiting for an MBA update, and it's sad Apple thinks so little of its Mac user base who have been around the longest in support of Apple, Inc.

Let's get back to the positives... sorry.

perhaps this is the very reason that Apple have left things be as they are until such time as a similarly effective and efficient combination of bits become available?
we may well be looking at next year … … … sad to say.
