I have used an Apple ID for Apple purchases for several years. The account uses my USA address, but I have no credit card on file. No problems.

Recently I realized I had five MacBooks AUTHORIZED on the account. Again, no problem, until it was a problem.

For some reason one of the MacBooks is no longer AUTHORIZED. This is odd, since I have loaded many prior purchases on the MacBook. I have deleted some iOS devices from the ASSOCIATED list, to no avail. In fact, the ASSOCIATED list only shows two of my MacBooks.

I believe this may have resulted from a repair made to one of the MacBooks a while back. The mother board had to be replaced. This was the main MacBook I used for all my iOS devices (sync and backups). After the repair, I noticed the technicians had somehow named the MacBook as a mid-2011 13 inch MBP. The device is a mid-2011 15 inch. I'm not sure if this is related at all, but it is the background to my query.

I figured I would deauthorize all MacBooks and then reauthorize them individually. I have read enough about the process to know how it works and the limitation (once it is done can't be done again for one year).

My question is whether deauthorizing from overseas will make a difference.?

I am concerned that the process of deauthorizing followed by reauthorizing will trigger some sort of "issue" and now all my MacBooks will be prevented from downloading past purchases etc.
