Rebind 'enter' on macbook?

Hi folks,

Got my macbook just a few days ago. I never use the bottom enter key. Is there a way to make it more useful by binding it to another key, in particular, CTRL.

Also, how do I get "DEL" key functionality on a macbook. The 'delete' key is similar to backspace on windows.
