rebuy apps????

Hi. I had to restore my iPod because it was really buggy. I didn't sync for over 1 month so I had lots of apps that were only on the iPod. I restored and transfered my apps from the MBP to the iPod. (BTW, I couldnt backup before restore. I restored because it wouldn't sync or backup).

Now I went to redownload the apps I downloaded since the last sync. When I tried the first one (cro-mag rally), it said my credit card was going to be billed. I tried for fieldrunners, same thing.

Did anyone here experience this? Should I click yes? I dont want to repay all that stuff. Its over 50$ worth of apps. It's already a pain enough to redownload them all.

I just cheked my "Purchase History" and they are all there. I guess it will go check there before they charge me and see that I already have it. It still says that it will charge the card.

To be safe, clear your credit card (edit credit card on file and delete type, number, etc.). Then buy the apps and it should work. If it says there is no credit card on file when purchasing you're out of luck.

It says I need a credit card on file. I'm not out of luck. If I can't redownload them, Apple STEALS my money. If Apple steals my money, things go back from there. Since they're in my purchase history, I can't imagine they will charge my card for them.

I went ahead and clicked on buy on a 99 cent app and I got a popup telling me I own the app. It was free. They should make this more clear. Anyways, problem is fixed.

This has always been the case since the App Store launched. You can download your purchased applications free as often as you need to. When it says it will charge your card, click through and you will get a message telling you that you already own the application and asking if you want to download it again for free.

This is also true for applications that were free when you got them but have since started charging. Those too are available to you from the App Store for free as often as you need them.

I agree that it is unnerving the first time you see the message that your card will be charged.
