Receipt Scanner app and management tool

Hi,
I am looking for a receipt/documents scanner app that has a management tool to keep all the scans organized that would work on iOS devices and a Mac.

Also, an app that has no subscription model. I just want to pay for it and get that done with it.
I am an independent contractor and need to keep all receipts organized for taxes purposes and be able to access it from my iOS and Mac desktop.

I appreciate any feedback.

I use Wave (https://www.waveapps.com/) it's totally free.

I've been researching this a lot lately too and I couldn't find any that were one-time payment. They were all subscription, apart from Wave

Thanks, I'll take a look at Wave.
I used to use Neat, but scanning documents/receipts on the scanner was a pain and their OCR tech wan't that great. Using the iPhone for these tasks is awesome but what I wan't able to find is a Mac tool to store receipts and manage them without the damn subscription.

Abbyy FineScanner For ios. Also a Mac app available. `One off payments for both. Very good apps in my opinion.

I checked that but I could not find a Mac desktop app companion. Looks good though.

OK, tried Wave app. Super slow to capture receipts. No go.

Any other suggestions out there?

I am a huge fan of Scanner Pro by Readdle. Use it for receipts and document scanning all the time.

I have Scanner Pro and really like it - very simple and automatic scanning. The scans can be organized in folders in the app. Or you can export it and save in any of the other files you have on your iPhone.

Locally in the app and I also have mine set to sync with iCloud. It's nice because scans I make with my iPhone show up on my iPad. I sometimes send my scans to Google Drive as well.

Dropbox app has a scanner. Lots of options for scan quality.

That said, I use Notes app and generate a PDF from that, download to my Dropbox, "print" from Mac Preview as a four per page. Once taxes filed, encrypted compress and push to my three cloud accounts and three external drives.

With Notes, can always keep in iCloud Notes: setup a folder for a given year and put them all in there. Can always tag the notes to make easier to search on.

You answered my next question, backups. If you stored them locally only, I am not sure if iCloud / iTunes backs them up. But since you use iCloud for syncing, that sounds like your backup method.

Right. I meant if you happen to take a scan when your connection is garbage or not available it would still be stored locally. But when I use the app the vast majority of the time everything automatically gets backed up and synced via iCloud. It's nice because also on my Mac there's an "iCloud Drive" section that contains a "Scanner by Readdle" folder that also lets me access my scans.

Scanner by Readle also lets you sync with Dropbox which is a nice alternative to iCloud making it easy to access files from a desktop.
