receive/not send

I am trying to set up my new iBook. I can connect and surf fine with Airport , but I can only receive Mail using Apple Mail. I haven't been able to send using wi-fi. I get a message stating that server rejected password for username@comcast.net . It appears that my accounts are set up properly, as I can send and receive fine on my desktop. Any ideas as I am new to laptops and wireless.

I know you said you think you have it set up correctly but it sounds as if your incomming mail server is wrong. Make sure yout set up looks like this......this is my comcast set up.
