Today I received my 8x 32GB R-DIMMs and have a question about pin lengths. In the two attached images you will clearly notice the outer pins on both ends gradually get shorter and shorter. Is this normal ?

Thanks... :)

[EDIT]
I've just scanned various videos showing how the RAM DIMMs are installed in the MP7,1 and I also noted the pins lengths are as shown in my two images. I feel so much better now. 👍

I also am curious why the pins do get shorter as they approach the ends ? Is it because it makes inserting the DIMMs easier as the DIMM can be sort of rocked into place.

Not Sure . When I install memory modules , I place extra pressure simultaneously on the ends of the module to lock close both ejectors .

The longer pins / substrate in the center might possibly be an anti-rocking feature , now that I think about it .
