Hi all, I currently own a set of Donerton wireless ear pods which are connected to my iPhone 12 for listening to music & am able to skip tracks etc on the Watch 6. Now what I am wondering is when it comes to receiving calls whilst out on a walk, is it best to have the EarPods paired to the Phone or the Watch, as when out on a walk, I seem to do most things like send messages etc on the watch, to save stopping and pulling out the phone ?.

Many thanks

Assuming you can answer through your earbuds, I would just keep pairing to the phone. Unless you changed it, the Apple Watch phone setting defaults to mirror IPhone, so you’ll have the option of interacting with the call on the watch if you want. Although, I don’t because the watch doesn’t allow me to adjust volume during calls. I can answer and hang up by tapping my AirPods. Not sure how yours function in this regard.
Also, it’s worth pointing out that I’ve had little luck keeping my AirPods paired to the watch when the iPhone is nearby. Even if I specifically pair to the watch to listen to a playlist that is stored locally on the watch, like when I exercise and don’t want my iPhone on me,inevitably the AirPods will reconnect to the iPhone if it’s in range or hasn’t been put in airplane mode.

Thank you very much for that, must admit these ones were dirt cheap ones on Amazon and are temperamental at the best of times, loss of sound every so often not to mention even adjusting the position of them does things like skip track, reduce volume etc, so will be going after something better after Christmas.

Thanks again for posting your experience especially when paring the pods to the watch.
