Afternoon all

First post here so just a quick hello. Picked up my 27 inch iMac on Saturday and so far I am in utter awe of the beast. Had a small nightmare getting windows 7 installed via bootcamp but it's all sorted and man is it worth it, the games look colossal on that big beautiful screen, Bad Company 2 in particular.

Anyway, sweet forums, looks to be a lot onf info here.

Sweet, I guess the most pressing question is..

How the hell do you work this thing!

Hey. Congrats. I have one more day on you. got my imac on Friday. Lifelong Windoz dude making the switch. Agree with all your comments. I bought "Switching to the Mac: The Missing Manual Snow Leopard Edition" by David Pogue. I'm not one to sit down and read a book chapter by chapter, but it's a good reference book i keep on my desk when i want to know how to do something and can look it up.

I second the idea to go the Apple.com website and look at some of the tutorials. They are very helpful when first switching. I think you will love it.

New convert here too!

I have been a Windows guy for most of my life....

Have had my 21.5" iMac for a week and a day and I have no idea what took me this long. :)

I was in IT for about 10 years and only messed with Macs when I had to.

Now that I am out of IT, I don't want to work on computers anymore, including my own!

Much like my iPhone, it does everything I need and it just works!

Finally spent some time in the Mac OS last night and boy is it frustrating figuring even some of the simplest things out but I can easily see that once I get used to it the fun will really start. For now i'm just overjoyed at how good the games look on that big screen, i'm smiling so much when playing you'd think I slept with a coat hanger in my mouth!
