Recently added iTunes showing all songs

hi does anyone know why the defaul recently added section on iTunes shows older songs. You would think since it’s called recently added it would only show recent songs added however I’m seeing songs from 2007 in this section and songs from 2007 etc were not recently added they were added over 11 years ago. So why are they showing older songs in a section for recently added/ new songs
