Recently jailbroken 3G works great... except phone doesn't work

So last night I finally jailbroke my 3G iPhone. I messed around with some themes using Winterboard and just sort of customized the phones layout. It looks cool and works fine, but everytime I try to open the basic "Phone" app, the app opens but the phone freezes and goes back to the home screen.

I can still get incoming calls and I have no problem with texting. I spent some time googling for anyone else with this situation to no avail.

Any help? Thanks.

Go to Installer, and uninstall Kate.

I did and restarted but it still freezes. Will I need to restore the phone (already?)

Edit: Also having problems with new applications.
Edit2: Ended up restoring the entire phone.
