Hi everyone,

I’ve done some searching in the forum and didn’t see anyone talking about this.

Over the last few weeks, after upgrading to the iOS 12 beta on my X, the signal on my phone frequently goes out, comes back on, then goes out again. Sometimes it will even lose the WiFi connection and then reconnect to it, then disconnect, reconnect, etc.

Is this a problem with the beta or is there something wrong with my phone? If this is a problem others have had is there a fix for it?

So far I’ve taken my SIM card out and put it back in to see if that helped. I’ve also reset the network settings multiple times.

Thank you!

I had a weird issue (on PB2) the other day where the phone was connected to LTE with 3 bars but would not connect to anything requiring data. Turning airplane mode on and off wouldn't fix it. It required a full reboot and then a ton of iMessage and app notifications popped up

Interesting - so I too have had this similar issue, except not only did data stopped working, so did voice calling. It essentially acted as if I didn't have any sort of cellular connection, but the signal indicator said I had 4 bars..

Airplane mode on, Airplane mode off -- everything worked like normal and a flood of iMessages + SMS texts came rolling in.

This was on the Public Beta 2..

I've been having the same issue since PB2. Connected to network, even full bars, but data doesn't work and sometimes can't even make a call. Wonder if reinstalling the beta would fix the issue? (reseting network settings didn't help).

Same issue here. I've either had full bars and no data connection, or down to a single bar or 4G where I usually get great reception. Wifi is also an issue, where iMessages will not send or get hung up despite being on Wifi.

This happened to me too. I had full signal on my X but people were not able to call me. It took me a good 24 hrs to realize this. A reboot fixed it with flood of missed call notifications and smses. If it happens again, I am switching back to iOS 11. Hopefully we will see a new beta by Monday.

I have experienced some time, call is not possible even though there are signals, it gets resolved after reboot.

Oh ! and i was blaming my operator... DB3 anyay after reboot its running okay but still i think signal reception is worse than on 11.4.1 beta..

Ok good, I thought I was the only one!

I've had this problem since Beta 1, I went back to 11.4 thinking it was just a bug on Beta 1 and they will patch it but it still hasn't been fixed even on the Public Beta

Ive had these issues since first beta. Both LTE and Wi-Fi. Even toggling airplane mode doesn't work, have to reboot.

Yes yes yes and sooooo much yes. I had it in public beta 1 and 2. Constant message fails, photo fails, No internet errors when my bars were at 2 and above or on WiFi... It was all super spotty as all heck and extremely unreliable. Swapping back to 11.4.1 fixed it right up for me.

All the joys of running a beta :D

I have the same problem and on PB2. Most recently this morning, I use waze and it cannot get connection even though I have 3 bars LTE. Only reboot solves the problem. And I seem to remember it also happened on ios 11.4.

11.4.1 doesn’t have that problem.

Funny how iOS 12 initially was soooo much better than iOS 11.4 but now a few betas later it seems to have changed :)

FYI: iOS 11.4.1 is rock solid!

I said 11.4 not 11.4.1 because I encountered the problem on a ToysRus visit on their last week opened and 11.4.1 isn't released yet.

I'm still noticing this in the most recent Beta. I always had decent LTE in my home, but now I either get really bad LTE or it drops down to decent 4G.

Not sure if this is Beta issue or just local tower work going on.
