Just wondering if anyone has any great suggestions (short of reinstalling the OS) to reclaim some space. I've already used some of the well-known tools such as Trimmit (only on 'safe' apps) and Monolingual (though can't get Monolingual to fully remove languages for some reason).

Is there an app (or procedure) to manually remove the printer drivers?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

Thanks. Trimmit is a free program that does the same as XSlimmer. I've already used Trimmit selectively to the point that I feel safe (there are some apps I'd rather not risk it with).

Printer drivers are in

HD > Library > Printers

Just delete the ones you don't want.

I've just checked (on my MacBook) and the Printer folder weighs in at 3.15GB! Do I just delete the Printer folder or the folders inside the folder (if that makes sense? )

Thanks.

Thanks - that was easy! Much easier than reinstalling OS X!! (To the post below, I just deleted the individual manufacturer folders for printers I don't own/use.)

If only the languages were that easy...
