recognise MKVs as 'Movie' rather than 'Other'

When looking at About This Mac, MKV movie files are recognised as 'Other' files rather than 'Movies'.

Is there a way to add MKVs to the list of movie file formats so that they are identified as 'Movies'?

Highlight the affected movie and select 'Get Info'. It the 'Get Info' windows select the Always open with toggle bar to select a movie player to always open that kind of file.
