Heya fellow folks :apple:

I'm actually looking to get a logo designed for a new web store that I am setting up, however I am not sure how best to approach going about doing this.

A friend has recently gotten hers done at this site by the name of 48hourslogo (48hourslogo.com), but I just prefer to get more 2nd opinions… especially considering Macheads are mostly artsy connoisseurs of visual arts :p

Not to say that 48hourslogo isn't good, but while good their designs don't quite give me that Ooomph that I'm after.

Do you guys know of any such services that you are happy with and would gladly recommend?

If you are going to be a regular consumer of quality design work, look for a design firm in your area. That will allow you to go face-to-face with the folks working on your stuff.

If not, look into the on-line freelance sites like the one listed below. You post your job and get bids for the work.

I regularly submit designs at a website called logodesignguru.com, where you as project holder submit a brief and the pool of designers submit their designs. You can have the project open for 3-7 days, and have 7 days to pick a winner after it's ended.

A few pointers, if you want the best designs/designers, you'll need to put a decent prize fund in ($200 upwards), but you can go as low as you wish.
Give regular and useful feedback to ensure the designers are fulfilling your requirements, rather than just eliminating them all.
Make sure your brief is detailed and conveys the main requirements for your design.

There are some very talented people on there, I'm confident you will get what you're looking for
