Let's hear your recommendations (pro and con) for SSL certificate authorities. Share prices, links, etc. I run apple server from home. Some authorities are ridiculously expensive. Must be some deals out there.

I use a Comodo PostiveSSL certificate via Namecheap ($9 annual).

Paying more for an Organization Validated cert isn't worth it. The Extended Validation certificates are worth it, because of the inherent browser support (EV certs have a visual indicator in modern browsers), but you need to have an actual business or an organization that can meet the EV requirements. No one issues an EV cert to individuals.

Comodo offers a free option that works great! The only downfall is that you have to renew it every 90 days, but that is typical for a free program.
