Hi guys,

I'm using a late 2009 iMac 27" with OS X 10.8.2 and I would like to pick a controller to play mostly SNES / Sega Genesis stuff.

I've done some research and came to three possible choices:

- Wireless Xbox 360 Controller (requires to pay extra for an adapter and need to install some additional stuff)
- Wired Xbox 360 Controller (just plug and play)
- Wireless Playstation 3 Controller (seems to work pretty well with bluetooth right out of the box without installing extra drivers/programs)

I also own a Playstation 2 controller. Apparently I could just grab a $3.00 USB adapter and be done with it. But I would like to go with the wireless route if it's just a matter of plug-n-play.

Problem is, I've read countless posts and watched several videos with people having all kinds of issues with the above controllers. It's hard to make a decision, especially because some posts/videos are a few years olds and technology/gamepad support has evolved since.

Which controller do you recommend/use?

Thank you.

It's not a perfect solution, as for example doesn't work with Borderlands 2, but my Xbox Wireless controller works pretty well with almost all games using the Tattiebogle drivers.

Be careful though, when the game supports officially the xbox controller (wired version), the drivers will cause a conflict and will stop working.... In that case you will need to uninstall the Tattiebogle drivers .

Yep not a very elegant solution...
