is a state of mind.
iOS 11 has a nice feature to record the screen, but on my iPad Mini 4 this isn't possible when also mirroring my display to my HDTV (via HDMI or AirPlay). Is this possible with an iPad Pro? I want to use my iPad to both display my lecture slides and record the A/V from the live lecture.

So, I figured out one option. If I connect my iPad to my MacBook via USB-C, then I can use Quicktime to record a video of the iPad display and capture audio from the MacBook mic (audio from the iPad mic doesn't seem to capture). Works best with QuickTime is in full screen mode. I can then switch back-and-forth from a drawing app (Notes, Notability, etc. for my "whiteboard work") and Keynote (for my slides/animations/movies).

Still hoping this can be done without the MacBook, but might need an iPad Pro...
