Record label field (iTunes / iCloud Download - iTunes Match) question

I recently bought an album from the iTunes Store on my iPod Touch, but realised that it had no record label tag. The picture below's "2005 Fearless Records" is an example of what I'm referring to.

I figured it was perhaps an iTunes Store mobile issue, but when I downloaded the album onto my computer through the "Purchased" quick link on the desktop iTunes Store (an iCloud feature), the music downloaded had no record label tag either. I was wondering what was the solution for this, as the rest of my music (purchased from the desktop iTunes store) has this field complete.

Well, all of this leads me to the next question; regarding iTunes Match. A bit OCD-ish I know, but that record label field is the only reason I would consider getting an iTunes Match subscription, so looking for information regarding iTunes Match I discovered the picture below, and guess what! The record label field is not filled on the matched tracks(!)

Of course, though, I'm only guessing about this last part based on said picture, and haven't been able to find any information regarding this field anywhere, so I was wondering if anyone had an iTunes Match subscription and could confirm this information and / or let me know about any solutions to have this field complete, and if it isn't possible then perhaps I shouldn't get an iTunes Match subscription. The final point, however, is to get the record label field complete on my iPhone, so is it possible that the record label field doesn't show up on iTunes desktop but it does on my iPhone?

Here's what I've found as an iTunes Match subscriber:

The record label info is on my songs in iTunes on my Mac from purchased music, but it not listed on the same songs that are on my iOS devices that are using Match.

Even if I turn iTunes Match off on my iPad and re-download the songs from Purchased, they still do not show the record label information. It seems no matter what I do, I can't get record info to show up on my iOS devices. (This was tested with 2 different artists whose record info shows in iTunes.)

I went through a few songs and iTunes doesn't even let me edit the record label info on any of my songs. I can't even see where one would edit that info. It must be embedded in the song which should be accessible with a 3rd party metadata app.

Also, if you are this OCD about your library, Match probably isn't for you. While I love Match and will continue to subscribe to it, it's not perfect. I have multiple albums where all but one song will match. I personally think you should overlook this and give Match a try as it is a really cool service.

Another thing to note is Match doesn't change your metadata on any of your songs, nor does it change your album art. On that note though, you can update a song's metadata and Match will notice the change and push it your devices.

The tracks on the iOS device were tested from downloading them from Match and from the Purchased section of iTunes on the device. Neither showed any record label info.

Matched, no. These were purchased from iTunes. Matched music does not change any metadata so I wouldn't expect those to have any record label info.

Just FYI, what you're looking for is the COPYRIGHT tag in the metadata.

So, at the end I decided to subscribe to iTunes Match despite the whole copyright tag issue, but I was wondering what my options were regarding said issue. I do want to have the copyright tag on my songs, and I have seen people using scripts to get Match to fix the metadata on one's matched songs. I was wondering if some of the scripts fix the copyright tag as well, and if they don't, what other alternates could be useful?

Is this tag editable?

Yes, it is indeed editable. The metadata editor I use is Metadatics though you can use a version of the excellent Windows-only metadata editor Mp3tag, thanks to Wine.
