I just got my first Mac yesterday and I'm definitely thrilled with my decision to switch! I can't believe I didn't do this sooner. Anyway, I was just curious if there's a way to record the stereo mix on my MBP's sound card? I know in Windows you can choose to have the audio input device be your sound card, so any sound playing on the computer can be recorded & saved. Is this possible on a Mac?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you want to record sounds your computer makes, a lot of people have recommended WireTap Pro. Is that what you have in mind? Or am I on the wrong track?
